25.00 in Kentucky. I do my own nail art.
I live in Athens, Greece working at home and i charge 30euro the full gel set (first time and refills), french (white, color, glitter) plus 2euro, permanent color-glitter plus 5euro, tips is 1euro per finger, nail art-glitter-dust-stones 1euro per finger.
My pricelist isn't the cheapest, you can also get a new set for 20euro at home.. but they are usually awfull looking and follow no hygiene rules.

In salons a full set costs 45-80euro and higher depending the area.
i am so glad to see this conversation has continued. here in texas where i live we constantly fight the price wars. the quickie salons tho some may do a good job they are mostly all very i mean very inexpensive for full sets and fills... i have always felt that by doing the best job you can do you should not have to "compete" with lowball pricing and poor work ethics... but in reality we do ... we fight that constantly.. i feel if you live by the discount you will die by the discount but you can most definately up price yourself into a small client pool... if you do a two hour set of art nails you should charge for it but reasonably.
the main problem with us here is that those salons have several techs in them...its all about convience... here i find that perhaps we are a I WANT IT NOW society and that is truly what we are competing against... price is just collateral damage
I live in weslaco texas and I pay for something different and i love for my nails to stand out i pay about 65-100 dollars. Because I don't like doing my own nails. They don't come out the same as if i was doing someone elses.. but yes in mexico it is alot cheaper...
i do my own and just started so im doing them for about 10 bucks and in tn us
Well I used to live in San Diego California and I would pay around 40-50, just for a white and pink acrylic set, no art, there were others salons that charged a lot less, even half the price, but I didnt like their work, plus the nails would look ugly right away, and with my two fave nail tech, from different salons, I could go forever without getting a fill, and the nail would look exactly as the day I walked out of the salon, except with a lot of new nail growth :P. Now I live in Dallas, nail sets are very cheap around here, and maybe the products too...cause they last what they cost :(, very little time, so that's why I started to do my own nails, need to practice a lot more, learning little by little... any tips will help :D :D.
To Kathy.
I rather pay more, and drive far from home, just to get a good set of nails, with a professional nail artist, I'm not rich or anything, I just love my fingers and wouldnt wanna loose one because I went to a cheap nail salon, with bad sanitation, bad nail techs and products :(.
So yes, you should charge depending of the type of work you do :).
St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada

Full Set of LCN or CND gel nails starts at 78 and tax for a full set of plain white tips..
Colour starts at 88 and tax and goes upwards depending on colours and design.

Fill starts at 44 and tax for plain white with no broken nails
Fill with colour starts at 54 and tax and goes up as well depending what gets done.

and nail fix during a fill is 3 per nails

and during time between fills 10 per nail..

Those are my personal prices, but most places charge very similar prices.

Seems expensive compared to other places world wide but people pay it here because there is no Asian Market or Acrylic nails here in the Province.

I personally do work with OPI Absolute FX Acrylics, but I only use them for practicing 3D art etc..

Wilde Cosmetics - Light Concept Nails is the #1 nail system here in Newfoundland... they dominate the industry..

Runner up is Creative Nail Design - Brisa Gel Nails...

I use both on my clients :)

LCN is the bomb :D I used to use it when I worked in Denmark but its really expensive over here, 89 euros per oz. pity as I really love working with it :D

I have paid R150 for a set of french, but that was years a go.. Now it is anything between 200 to 300 Rand. A set of full art would cost you about 350 to 450 Rand. This is in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In Queensland Australia you can pay anything up from $65.00+. Myself I only charge $45.00 all australian dollars, for both full set of nails or an infill.
