Hey y'all! I was wondering if anyone knows the best monomer to use on glitter acrylics? I have had issues with color bleeding. It makes me cry :'( Thanks!

Usually the product would tell u which one to use with the glitters. But I use Top Mix products and it works great. If u want try mixing your glitter with the powder u use and use the same acrylic with it and see how that works for u good luck...
Hi Sarah,

Try using more than 1 brush. 1 to apply the colour and a second clean brush just finalise your shape. Keep the second brush clean of any colour.

Cheers,

Sue
Thanks so much ladies!
Actually, if the glitter is not "extruded" and is just stamped or dyed with color it will bleed in most monomers--particularly red or blue metallics. Always be careful about choosing your glitter just anywhere if using it in acrylic. However these problems do not happen with gel.
Agreed..

The bleeding has to do with the type of gliiter used not the monomer
http://www.CoastalScents.com (found it from EnKorrine / EnKore Makeup on Youtube) is also a good place to get glitters and pigments for a great price. all of their products are cosmetic grade and I haven't had a fading problem at all. hope this helps! good day to you!
Some glitters are color stamped over a metallic base and monomers dissolve the color layer. They will also turn silver if you file on it. Try to find extruded glitters - the color goes all the way through. Glitters that bleed still work well with gel.
wow i never heard of glitter bleeding. i use gliter at all times and that doesn't happen....i use hobby lobby glitter and glitter frokm ebay

Mylar glitters do not bleed, its the metalics that can be a pain in the butt.
