What we have here is a story about a hard working Nail tech who loves her work and enjoy every bit of it. Her love for the profession could be seen in her creative art work. I truly respect this artist and her working philosophy.
My name is Shelly Nguyen. I'm from Virginia , my family is from Vietnam, i was certified as a nail tech in NYC. my hobbies is nothing much, sleep, eat, going to work, and play with my sons on my day off. i been doing nails over 14 years, well i guess i could say is because my family own a
nails salon so i say family business. well if you ask what i like and dislike about this profession. i can't think of a lots of think that i dislike, maybe thing such as doing the same thing over everyday. But i do like doing nails art though, hehehe! well, now I work in my own nails shop.
I have about 17 to 23 client a day. don't think wow! she much work all day and night no, I only work
from Tuesday to Saturday. From 10:15 to 7:00 and i do have break and lunch time too. well, i do not see myself in the nails business in the next five years, but if i still doing this nails stuff maybe i see a
shelly nails art school, i guess i do love doing nails art . Heheh i guess i said that already..well i don't have a nails polish brand i like. i work with anything. my advice for others is work with your heart
not with how much others have in their pocket. If your heart are not in it, you might not suit doing nails. and be open minded to learn from other.

what a lovely story shelly! are you still going to be doing nails in 5 years then because from your interview it seems that you won't be...wish i lived closer to you, i'd love to pop into your shop and see your gorgeous work!

I love story like this! Love my jobs too it make me feels so good for making everyone feelings happy how they love there nails. I been in this business for 20 years now and still loving it. What's there not to love! Thanks for sharing the story:)
