What would be a good price list for a special service? examples such as full set with rhinestones or a super long set of stiletto nails with tons of glitter and 3D nail art ect. ect.

Hey I like this question.

Umm well to start off I will tell you that I dnt charge by length. I usually charge depending on the art for example if its a set of encapsulated nails than my pricing begans at 40 and up. It goes up in price depending on difficulty and what the clients wants in their nails. As for the 3d I guess you can charge an X amount for every nail with 3d. Remember its ur talent and also ur time and product so u charge what u feel is right. I would suggest nvr under charge.

i really like the idea of charging per "style" of nails, that's a really good idea, i do all sorts of types and styles of nails but when someone asks how much thats where my problem is LOL well i will DEFF take this into consideration :)
something places have a price for a standard full set, then they add more to that price for the long length, and more for the glitter and decoration.  The price for the additional services are dependent on the amount of work you put into them. Sometimes a very long full set with full decoration could reach up to $70.
This is the most typical of pricing that i have seen, but i do want to not be like THEM (chop shops mainly) and its sad to see when customers get ripped off where as u say $70 for full length and "design", typically that design is either airbrushed or only one or two fingers with nail art on them...atleast where i live lol
Since a good base rule of thumb is to charge a dollar a minute plus marked up materials (that is if you are experienced in such applications)--a typical set of stilettos with art would run about $150 in my shop and take 2 hours or more to do.
I like the idea of a dollar per minute, i guess more towards the nail art aspect of it atleast, it really doesnt take me that long to lay the acrylic properly, gel a lil longer as that i dont have many who want that, art for me takes the longest bc of drying time in between layers ect, but i have considered that i am too cheap on the price for my nail art, some places i see charge $3 a nail for freehand art whereas i only charge about $10 for all 10 because it doesnt take that long about 1 minute per nail. but other designs that are more intricate i have had a difficult time pricing lol

yup, you can always set your own price when it comes to designs.  The designs are unqiue therefore you can name your own price.  Any tech could do acrylic, but not all of them know how to do great designs. So this is your key setting your price
