this question is dependent on the technique of the tech, but in general, a big brush is useful for picking up more acrylic when making long nails and smaller brush perfect for picking up smaller amount of acrylic...

I alternate between a no. 8 flat and a no. 10 round depending the length of the enhancement and the size of my clients nail bed.

im close to you either 8 oval or 12 round :)

Since most of my clients are fills and not much more than that, my most used brush is my 8 round. But depending on the application (3D, new set, repairs) I will use other brushes like my golden pointe, 10 round, 6 flat, etc.
