Clear tips vs White tips with SOG/ Silk/Fiberglass

What is the right way to apply a little lenght to natural nails using a sog?  Do I prime the tips or just the natural nail?  Does the sog cure different with white tips? I realize sog are not meant to be used as extensions but some want just a bit longer than what they have...what to do?  Also exactly how do you add silk or fiberglass to sog nails.  Please put exact steps...and thanks in advance
