Please can anyone help me. I finished school in November and am now in a salon everyone wants gel overlays and I know how to do them but for what ever reason I have done 3 in a row and they all have come off the next day. I use NSI, These are the steps I did

  1. take shine off nail
  2. put on dehidrator
  3. put on bonder
  4. put on gel
  5. cure
  6. put on finisher gel
  7. cure
  8. whipe off tacky layer
  9. file sides and cuticle area
  10. buff
  11. polish
  12. uv gel top coat
  13. cure
  14. done

please tell me what i'm doing wrong. When i went back and redid one of the ladies the nail stayed on it's been a month and have since did a fill-in on her and i did everything the same "go figure". any tips will help i don't want my clients to leave me when the word gets out that my work is shabby, when i know that its not.

Hey nail tech, This is Jen from Miami
usually when your gels come off right after service can be one of four things which are, not pating you bonder gel, not wiping of the excess from around the cuticles and side walls , not building your uper arch of the nail or capping the free edge or undercuring of the nail enhancement. remember, shine can not stick to shine and you have to make sure that its not cured to the side walls or cuticle because it will lift as soon as you file and you wont notice this mistake until you put the uv top coat on. when using any gel product the basics are the same, make sure that after your finishing gel is applied you cure for the entire three minutes and about one minute and thirty seconds, which is the half way point turn the hand upward where the underside of the nail is facing the light so your free edge gets a even cure as well as inside and under the nail. hope this helps
