Breyona,please do not stop doing nails because you are very talented and with time you will become even better trust me.When I look back and see how I started off then I have to say that I came a long way.Believe in yourself you have the talent

Danijella's Nails I really thank you for posting and that is what made me come up with this group I see alot of "Nailtech's" that don't even do nails better than me sad to say. I have stop doing nails until I save up to get my license but I still love it with a passion and I feel like no one should be downed or judged because they can't afford or don't feel it is necessary to have a license. I really love that you posted and voiced your opinion love to hear from experienced Nail techs!

This is a very interesting discussion and I must say a few things about the title Nailtech. I have been doing nails for 18 years now (10 years without a license) and must say that I have seen many many women who went to school for a Nailtech and don’t even really know how to do nails after they receive their license. Doing nails isn’t something you learn overnight and not even after going to school for 5 weeks and being licensed, it takes a lot of practice and many years’ experience. Not everyone has the money to get their Nailtech license but that doesn’t make them any less educated, matter a fact me as an experienced Nailtech have seen a lot of wonderful nails on this page by non Nailtechs

Yes some states require one and some states don't. Its not really the nail art you have to have a license for here just to do Acrylic, Gel, and to have education on Natural nails and diseases. If you want to know more I can post information on it and post the state board list for all states and countries.
