I'm currently only practicing on myself or practice fingrs from Sallys. The problem is I only have two hands and soaking off to reapply is not healthy or very practical. The practice fingrs are not very realistic, and I'm in a new city with no friends that I can ask to practice on.... so I'm considering getting a PROHAND. They are really pricey, and I was wondering if there are any other alternatives. What do you ladies use???

Have you tried the hands from sally's or on-line? They're good for practicing acrylic application and nail art, and will give you the feel of doing a whole hand at a time. One of the things we would do in school was attach a nail tip to a popsicle stick with a dot of acylic and use them. We did this mostly for art(works better with the larger tips), but it works for other things too. Hope this helps- good luck.

Hello, When I first started out, I went to different hair supply stores and found a dummie hand. Once I learned how to apply them well enough, I started using my own hand. Just do one hand at a time. Let the first one dry completely then continue on to the next.  I hope this helps, Good luck!!!!!

When i was in school they made us practice with those yellow gloves you use to wash dishes. We filled them up with salt nd tied them up, then just glue the nail right on it.  Its a cheap way, you can get a pack at the dollar store. Hope this helped :)

i bought a training hand off Ebay, they where cheaper than paying for a brand new one,i also stuck up a notice saying models wanted,i made a few friends this way too !
