Any idea why gel cracks on nail paint on acrylic nails?

I've been getting my nails done for a while, and i have noticed that if I get a nail design that requires a lot of nail polish color (usually when I paint my whole nails) and sometimes when I get tips painted on,and then I apply the gel under the uv light, after about a week ( or a few days) my nails began to crack superficially. I LOVE the gel factor and really hate the top coat polish ( gel seems to shine a lot longer, plus keeps it protected). Any reason to that? And if possible, is there a… Continue

How long do I wear Acrylic nails?

I'm a nail bitter so I put acrylic nails on 9/09 and have changed my sets approm. 3 times. My own nails are so thin that I continue to wear acrylic. Is that good or what should I do???

Nail Mold

Ya'll I have a 99 year old client who i went to fill and had mold from lifting on EVERY finger. I did not have the necessary supplies to soak them off. Plus they are over lays so the nails are thin. So should I get back and soak them off quickly or wait another month till she calls again to soak them off. My concern is her age and health let alone my reputation. I just filled them a couple of days ago. What should I do

Nail Repair! Help!!

Hello, once again being hard on my nails I managed to bend the artificial tip underneath my gel nail. Today I chipped the corner of my gel nail. How do I repair this small piece without redoing the whole nail? What do you think about covering the end with just regular acrylic instead of gel as a quick fix because I have no gel.

Help on how to draw flowers pls

Hi, I'm having a hard time on how to make flowers with a brush and I just cant figure it out...any tips or ideas?

I meant on drawing flowers...with 2 tone colors and stroking methods...I don't understand on how to pick up the acrylic paint, which brushes to use, or how to use the brushes correctly
