There is an ongoing protest lead by Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, a coalition of health and environmental groups, against conventional beauty products. The group claims the companies’ use of toxic solutions such as formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) in their products, especially in nail polish.
